Rooms and availability
1 Single bed
1 Double bed
A country inn with a riverside location and offering a nice relaxed atmosphere Pleasant and helpful staff. Varied menu to suit all tastes.
Early booking secured a price discounted double bedroom. However, room 5 had inadequate bathroom facilities for a 3 night stay, with barely room to move.
Fantastic location, friendly service and fairly good food. Just remember that you are staying at an old English inn and not a luxury hotel and you won't be disappointed.
The relaxed atmosphere. Good breakfast service.Super place for a quiet couple of days. Food very good.
I had a single room with an enormous double bed leaving a rather narrow channel down each side. A smaller double would give a little more room, particularly for getting dressed.
The oldest Inn of England, and that shows. Great story about the Old Ferry Boat `Ghost´
Location was idyllic.
Although the room was ready when we arrived at 11am, we couldnt have it until 2pm. The sunday roast which we had at 5pm, although at a reduced price because it was after 5pm, was cold, tired looking and tasted as though it had been sitting there all afternoon.I did request a room with a view of the river but didnt get what I asked for.
The hotel is very well kept, cosy and friendly. The staff very excellent and the food superb. I cannot fault this hotel in any way, it was very very good.
Pleasant location by rievr. Varied menu.Good breakfast. Plenty of parking
room could hev been bigger
A very comfortable bed; prompt attention from the staff; pleasant dining facilities (we ate only breakfast)
I would try to avoid a Xmas party night, for any future stay, but at least the "music" stopped by 12 midnight, as we were told to expect it to do!
Very good staff Homely feel of the interior Olde world charm Open fires Close to the river Village setting Smoked salmon and scrambled eggs at breakfast
Room 6 is very small and is over the kitchen which is understandably noisy in the evening and also at 6 30ish in the morning. A lot of clashing of doors from downstairs. Minor repairs needed in the room. The window catch was missing so the window was difficult to have open to get air into the room. Evening meal could have been a little hotter.
Friendly staff who were extremely helpful Quiet and beautiful location A sense of history- creaky floors and the grave included!!
Nothing at all- anything I could write here would be nitpicky
Brilliant service in a really picturesque location and the building just oozes character.
Not a lot, location good alonside river
Location- marketed as St Ives but mnany miles outside Very pricey for the facilities and standards Evening meal poor, breakfast OK Room very cramped, especially bathroom, dirty and with many dead and alive spiders and webs. Room in need of painting Black mould in shower
loved the location by the river very good value for meals
room we stayed in was very noisy fan outside the room and we could here staff very early in the morning.
Freindley staff ,good food,nice location.
The room was a bit small and the shower room was tiny, very cramped.
Everything in room was absolutely spotless.Bed linen and towels could not have been cleaner if brand new. Bedroom was small but functional. Bar downstairs was very friendly and the food was superb, with a varied menu. Breakfast was included in the price and was very tasty with good selection of fruit, cereals and an excellent breakfast menu. Will definitely visit again.
Hard to find, peoples directions proved fruiless but sat nav took us straight there.
